About the Instructor:
Illyana Annunziato, MA, LPC, NCC, BC-TMH, EMDR Trained, has been working at The Center since her internship in 2018. She has recently been promoted to Associate Clinical Director and has over four years of direct clinical work with clients. Illyana currently oversees interns and plans to work toward her supervisor license in April 2022. Illyana has a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. John Fisher College. She is passionate about advocating for those who do not have a voice, particularly underserved populations. As a member of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Minority Fellowship Program-Addictions Counseling, Illyana is dedicated in making a difference in the lives of others. She is a South Carolina LLR Certified Licensed Professional Counselor, Board-Certified Telemental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, is trained in Prepare Enrich, and is EMDR Trained. She works with adolescents, adults, and families who are struggling with anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, substance use disorders, process addictions, behavioral problems, relationship issues, and more. Illyana began integrating Telehealth into her regular practice after going on maternity leave in 2019 and has remained consistent in keeping up to date with the most current information and ethical guidelines regarding Telehealth. She is passionate about also ensuring documentation is accurate, effective, and compliant with all ethical and legal guidelines. She continues to serve others and has a desire to share her knowledge within the professional community.
